Following his recent trilogy albums; The Great Depression, We Got Lost and Wisdom Of Life, Doctor L (aka Liam Farrell) teams up again with Comet for a special limited vinyl edition of the best tracks from this trilogy: Immigrant For Ever.Sound activist for twenty-five years, DOCTOR L go through the musical galaxies as an incandescent comet, still fusioning from the 80’s Punk Rock, to Hip-Hop music, and from the start of Electronica, to the rebirth of the international Afrobeat.In years 2000, already on the label Comet Records, he was able to bring Lagos´ afrobeat towards the third millennium with the album Black Voices from Tony Allen, and then even sent him to the moon, with the special opus Psyco On Da Bus.More recently Liam Farrell produced the successful debut album of the Congolese band Mbongwana Star described by Rolling Stones USA as “heady and high-energy Afrofuturist collaboration”Liam Farrell is one the most innovative producers of music from Africa. Immigant for Ever by Doctor L will be released in LP late September 2015.

Dubby, punky, politically engaged new wave with a sense of humour, we've always been touched by the voice of Agnès (bass) and the phlegmatic Michel (machines and graphics). We could have thought the language barrier would have stopped the pleasure of this record but obviously not, as Mobutu song is already an international digger classic! We really hope you'll enjoy this collection of tracks and collages as we do so, once upon a time...

Otis Stacks is a collaboration between Michael Munch (aka JustMike), a producer from Denmark, and Elias Wallace a singer songwriter from Pasadena, California. The music is analog synth based soul with undertones of the hip-hop culture that both grew up in.Otis Stacks sound was conceived out of JustMike’s growing collection of vintage analog synths. As he collected old analog synthesizers, he experimented with new sounds and created a sparse soulful sound. During a tour through the French Alps with Elias and the Danish band Dafuniks, Elias and JustMike recorded a song that later would became “Fashion Drunk”, the first single off of their EP The Break Up. After hearing the sound that they both came up with they formed Otis Stacks and wrote and recorded songs in Nice, Montpellier, and Paris, while touring France.Otis Stacks use of analog synth sounds and Rhodes piano give it a distinct sparse sound. It is soulful and hearkening back to an older more pure time in music before over processing and auto tune dominated the approach. Elias adds thoughtful, emotional lyrics and strong melodies to the mix. It all works together to create meaningful songs that explore loss, pain, and longing in the sometimes vacuous and hedonistic nature of the music world.

Following previous ventures with The Funk League and production credits for Large Professor, Diamond D or Gift of Gab, french producer Hugo LX returns with a new collective project under his KenJaNai’ alias.The debut album “Faceless Heroes” (coming out in October 2014) showcases a radical shift for the young beatsmith, as the production style leans towards futuristic beats, 80’s synths and also some downtempo - sometimes ambiant - jams influenced by Japanese electronic and new funk legacy.KenJaNai is not only a producer effort, but a close collaboration with fellow musicians and top shelf vocal artist: the mighty Elzhi (from Detroit very own Slum Village) and indy star Oddisee supply classic verses, while Canadian songstress Amalia (known for her tremendous work with Opolopo) brings her Nu-Funk trademark and soulful vibe in the mix, alongside Kandisky Effect' bassist Gael Petrina and turntablist DJ Suspect.Cruising through atmospheric layers and hard hitting drum patches, “Faceless Heroes” expresses nowadays producers’ ability to navigate from a place to another on the musical spectrum, in order to keep the music vibrant.First 2 tracks single coming out in a limited 300 copies 7inch and including an exclusive remix of “Playin’ (Feat.
