Matsutake

Under the name Matsutake, saxophonist Côme Rothé and producer Jérémy Vieille (2/3 of Zerolex Trio) collaborate with French ethnologists and the Echo System concert hall to create a book-record around the theme "Making materials sing".
The album 1538 dresses this project with an immersive and cinematic jazz, tinged with ambient and experimental music. The organic and metallic sounds come into harmony with a rare sensitivity to illustrate this study on objects and their history.
