Bruno “Patchworks” Hovart is definitely one of the top producers of today’s groove music scene. After playing as a bassist and guitarist for various bands, he started producing in the mid-nineties and has kept on mixing today’s technologies with the raw spirits of House, Electronic, Disco, Funk, Soul, Reggae & Jazz music’s golden years since then.Following the trail of success left by his various projects as Patchworks, and under many aliases, he’s proved his musical ubiquity and unexpectedly stroke in various genres. For this new EP, he’s back under the EDR Records’ umbrella, following up to his acclaimed EPs called Give My Love (EDR019) and Dedications (EDR021), and meanwhile pursuing a comeback to his early love for House music.Many House music diggers would indeed remember that before Favorite Recordings was launched in 2006, Patchworks and Pascal Rioux produced many Deep-House titles on the Rotax Disques imprint. Besides since the late 90s, Patchworks has also collaborated with labels such as Q-Tape, or Still Music, delivering many clubbing hits such as “Million Toes”, “Sugar”, or “Minautor” to name just a few.On this 4 tracks EP, he again delivers 4 dancefloor killers, ready to convince any listener from old-school “footstomping” aficionados, to Detroit House heads. For the occasion he also invited his long time mate Eric Duperray aKa Mr Day, who brings his soulful vibes to the mix.

For his twelfth studio album, Pianissimo, Matthias Vogt ([re:jazz], Motorcitysoul) makes a clear political statement in symbiosis with his well-placed notes and the stylishly experimental and pronouncedly eclectic electro-jazz sound. Pianissimo does not only mean playing very softly but also playing very intensively. It is definitely not an album to skip through.Matthias Vogt combines great music with current socio-political attitudes and issues for this new album. He conducted interviews on topics like “climate change” with people from his circle of friends and acquaintances - creatives, artists, activists and musicians who tick similarly to himself and with whose voices he could give expression and form to his own thoughts. With this material, he created this hybrid piece of music and socio-political reflexion.His companions are Demian Kappenstein (ÄTNA & Massa) on drums & guitarist Daniel Stelter (Sing mein Song, TV-Total Heavytones). Vinyl incl. the outer packaging will be produced on a completely recycled basis by INFRACom! which starts its 30 years celebration with this release.

On Side A, “Denial” starts seriously with a strict beat on a weird synth line, a driving bass and that hypnotic vocal. “You Got Me Burnin'” will revive your soul vibes with some old school drums and vocals on top of jazzy sampled instruments. B side features “Finish Already”, heavy floor filler that we don't mind keeping bouncin' on and on. Can’t wait to spread this dope wax on the dancefloors !

Consider "Afro" like what some would have called "World" has we're speaking about crazy African, Oriental, Indian, Reggae, Latin, Brazilian and even Bulgarian & Irish downtempo wrong speed trance tracks and edits like (!) Might be cheesier and more fun than expected since Dizonord recent Studiolo compilation, hope you're ready for the ride.

Buddy Sativa, known for his skills as a beatmaker, has just dropped his first album as producer-composer of an exceptional jazz opus.After more than 10 years messing around with music, the self-taught musician orchestrated this magnificent solo project with the help of vintage sounds and modern techniques, blending African and even classical influences. The result gives the impression that a plethora of musicians has come to pay tribute to the jazz gods and take part in the mystical experience of this album.
