We are proud to present you the official reissue of Emma Baloka's album Freedom, published in Nigeria in 1982, in coproduction with the artist himself.

This exceptional guitarist born in Cameroon in 1959 was very interested in music and instruments at a very early age. Influenced by US and UK music, his musical flame was born and moved him to the Funk music genre. Emma Baloka adds his personal touch and re-enacts it in “Makossa Funk” and “Afro Funk” in the 1980’s. His first album at 21 was with the legendary band, Mighty Flames. After three albums he became a guitarist of Nigeria’s biggest disco-funk stars for more than 10 years: Kris Okotie, Eric Kol, Harry Mosco to name just a few.
