Split Single from the garage combo of The Panturas and Sundancer sung entirely on their regional language. An exclusive 7” split from Indonesian surf-garage-rock behemoth The Panturas and Sundancer, hailing from Jatinangor and Lombok Respectively. It was the first series from their upcoming “"Singel Klub" series."Lasut Nyanggut" by The Panturas their first song sung entirely in Sundanese language. The band appointed Ricky Virgana from White Shoes and The Couples Company fame to be their producer, and successfully produced a garage psych-surf-calypso with a mixture of traditional oriental sundanese pop aesthetics. The lyrics of the song itself paints a picture of someone fishing.The title itself is a popular term among fishing enthusiast on the western parts of Java.“Dedare Tanjung” or “Gadis Tanjung” roughly translates to “the girl on the cape”, was inspired from “Dark Eyes” a russian folk song and Ismail Marzuki’s very own “Panon Hideung” which is a song sung in Sundanese language. The band translates the song to their own mother tongue language which is the Sasak, a language that the band originated from.

Pursuing their explorations in the vast corridors of international Funk and Disco music, Favorite Recordings and Bruno "Patchworks" Hovart present us Voilaaa. Following a first 2 tracks single acclaimed this summer and clearly revealing the Afro-Disco inspiration of this new experience, here comes Voilaaa’s first album, titled On te l’avait dit.Under the imprint of the label and after their long years of collaboration in the achievement of projects such as The Dynamics, Mr President, Mr Day, Patchworks Galactic Project, or Taggy Matcher, the insatiable French producer therefore returns to his first love and specialty, Disco music, staring this time at the African and Caribbean influences.Indeed, as everywhere in the 70s and 80s, Funk and Disco movements were extremely influential in these regions, and in most cases, the combination of the festive, yet sometime futile nature of Disco, and the instinctive, deep, sometimes rough nature of African music, sounds like a perfect balance. Aiming to find back this energy and specific sound, Patchworks quickly began producing a few tracks; Using his unique and ruling beats and bass lines as foundations, this time he dresses all with guitars, keyboards and brass distorted with vintage and DIY effects pedals and boxes. Surrounded by a very dynamic music scene, where there is no shortage of artists with African origins, Patchworks decided to work with local singers, even if it means to accompany them on unusual musical paths. A more than successful bet with a result surprising of authenticity, as it’s unveiled recently with two explosive titles alongside Sir Jean and Pat Kalla, both from a musical background as rich than different.The 10 tracks of the album are instantly up to expectations, chaining hit after hit tirelessly, and offering a few more brilliant collaborations with Renaud Bilombo, but also label mates Hawa and Fouley Badiaga. With this new escapade, Patchworks and Favorite Recordings make a strike again and confirm them a little more if needed, as the true warrant of the modern dancefloors’ loyalty to the spirit of their mythical ancestors ... Back in 2007, three DJs from a mountainous region in Austria called Vorarlberg teamed up to form Struboskop.They’ve always been huge Jazz, Funk and Disco lovers, Hip-Hop heads and House aficionados at the same time –– and after moving their homebase to the Austrian capital, Vienna, they’ve made themselves a name for their versatile and eclectic productions and DJ sets.They’re also pushing boundaries with their newest side project Duboskop, merging hypnotic dub sounds with cheesy 80s pop hits.Be prepared to expect more craziness from them in the future!

Following previous ventures with The Funk League and production credits for Large Professor, Diamond D or Gift of Gab, french producer Hugo LX returns with a new collective project under his KenJaNai’ alias.The debut album “Faceless Heroes” (coming out in October 2014) showcases a radical shift for the young beatsmith, as the production style leans towards futuristic beats, 80’s synths and also some downtempo - sometimes ambiant - jams influenced by Japanese electronic and new funk legacy.KenJaNai is not only a producer effort, but a close collaboration with fellow musicians and top shelf vocal artist: the mighty Elzhi (from Detroit very own Slum Village) and indy star Oddisee supply classic verses, while Canadian songstress Amalia (known for her tremendous work with Opolopo) brings her Nu-Funk trademark and soulful vibe in the mix, alongside Kandisky Effect' bassist Gael Petrina and turntablist DJ Suspect.Cruising through atmospheric layers and hard hitting drum patches, “Faceless Heroes” expresses nowadays producers’ ability to navigate from a place to another on the musical spectrum, in order to keep the music vibrant.First 2 tracks single coming out in a limited 300 copies 7inch and including an exclusive remix of “Playin’ (Feat.
